Fallen Angels

The exhibition dedicated to Anselm Kiefer at Palazzo Strozzi, March 22 to July 21, 2024, is an unmissable opportunity to explore the work of one of the greatest masters of 20th and 21st century art. Born in Germany in 1945, Kiefer is distinguished by artistic research spanning decades, characterized by a deep interest in themes of memory, myth, war and existence. His work, which includes painting, sculpture, installation and photography, reflects on a dialogue between civilizations and their architecture, inspired by his travels and study of Eastern and Western cultures. The exhibition Fallen Angels, curated by Arturo Galansino, presents an itinerary that highlights both historical works and new productions by the artist, in a profound dialogue with the Renaissance architecture of Palazzo Strozzi. This curatorial approach not only enhances the dialogue between Kiefer's works and the exhibition space, but also invites the public to a total immersion in the artist's conceptual universe, stimulating reflection on the intersections between history, culture and individuality. The project engages the viewer in both the physical and conceptual space of his art.

Interesting for lovers of Anselm Kiefer's art is the reopening of the Eschaton-Anselm Kiefer Foundation, La Ribaute on April 10, 2024. Guided visits, designed to offer a deeper understanding of the artist, promise a more engaging tour, enriched by a good storytelling. https://billetterie eschatonfoundation.mapado.com/en
