Female perspective

Through the lens of her camera, Grace Lambert-Phillips captures stories which reveal the deep essence of human experience. Raised in Scotland, in an artistic environment, Grace found her authentic language in photography, capable of expressing herself not only through images, but also words, film, and sculpture. For the artist, each shot is an open window on hidden worlds, revealing aspects that may not be seen at first glance. Her art, on film or in digital, are not just images: they are emotional narratives stimulating deep conversations. In her works one glimpses a personal journey toward self-discovery and stories around Grace. Photography is the medium with which she explores life, but the goal is to reveal the fleeting beauty of existence. Her meeting with artist Jack Vettriano marked a significant moment in her career: in addition to creating a series of portraits for him, she also became his muse, mutually enriching their artistic expressions.

In 2020, during a time of great uncertainty, Grace founded the Lambert Phillips Foundation, dedicated to storytelling through photography. Based in Florence, the foundation is in charge of documenting European culture, with a particular focus on preserving Italian traditions. Between Tuscany and Venice, the artist does not merely observe, but lives and transforms the cultures she photographs, revealing their beauty and complexity. This year, one of the main opjectives is to open her first private studio at Villa la Posta, a historic 18th-century estate in Monteriggioni. This space, equipped with a darkroom and gallery, will be a place where her art can flourish and new stories can come to life. Internationally recognized for her ability to address important issues through visual art, Grace creates images that resonate deeply in the viewer, inviting reflection through other meanings. Each shot seems an act of empathy and sensitivity. This is the art we need, this is Grace Lambert-Phillips, who continues to explore the human condition, telling stories that bring us closer to the truth and beauty of existence, whatever it may be.
