Once upon a time there was a piece of wood
The story of Pinocchio is known by children all over the world, but only a few know that there is a park entirely dedicated to the wooden marionette. The park is in Collodi, Tuscany, the birthplace of Carlo Lorenzetti, the author who first invented Pinocchio’s incredible adventures. Little did the writer know, when brought his character to life in 1881 through a woodcarver named Geppetto, how successful the entertaining and instructive storyline would be. Forget the technological games of modern playgrounds. In this fairytale park you’ll live magical experiences that will make your mind travel in a creative dimension. Amongst statues and mazes, you’ll find that the most important figures in the novel are all there: the whale, the theatre, and the blue fairy's house.
