“Temple of Italian glories“
Florence surprises and thrills like few other cities in the world, but it’s in a unique place where history, culture and beauty come together en masse: Santa Croce! Visiting and discovering one of Florence’s four neighbourhoods, the only one extending to both banks of the Arno, is an evocative visit that’s perfect for everyone. Firenze Yes Please has selected a unique itinerary through timeless architecture, incredible stories about the past and prestigious Florentine workshops. This is an experience in knowledge, but also in the know-how of the artisan masters and their original, hand-made crafts. The best part of the visit is surely the private access, led and recounted by an expert historian from the Basilica of Santa Croce, with its 14th-century cloister and original Gothic windows. The Pazzi Chapel is reserved for our guests, as are places not normally open to the public, including the choir in the Capella Maggiore and the Perruzzi e Bardi Chapels, both decorated by Giotto. To make the visit memorable, you can book a dinner in a luxurious restaurant, with a menu created by a chef for the occasion, surrounded by 700 years of history.
