Florence with view
Also known as the “garden of the three gardens”, Villa Bardini is the small, green gem of the Oltrarno area. The villa’s park, which was completely renovated by antique dealer Stefano Bardini in 1913, extends from the hill of Piazzale Michelangelo down to the Arno river, covering about four hectares of land. Amidst a profusion of wisteria and iris, ancient fountains, sculptures and grottos, here is where you get one of the loveliest views of Florence. In the most scenic point of the garden, a magnificent Baroque staircase leads to a spectacular lookout. A not-to-miss view, which you may have seen in a recent commercial starring a stunning Julia Roberts. The seventeenth-century Villa Bardini is now the exhibition center for the Capucci Museum and Annigoni Museum.
