Multicultural style with an artisan soul
It was the love for men’s shoes that made Vivian Saskia Wittmer leave Germany and move to Florence. After reading an article about Stefano Bemer, the master of bespoke shoemaking, she turned up at his Florentine artisan workshop. An incredible meeting of two kindred spirits: he, a great craftsman in love with his profession; she, a ‘woman shoemaker’, a rarity in a male-dominated world. With Florence, it was love at first sight and after three years, she opened her own workshop. People come from around the world to buy what enthusiasts call “multicultural shoes”.
