Must-see sights for little ones

Every work of art in Florence has a story that can become a fairy-tale. And the city’s smallest visitors can enjoy tailor made courses and workshops at Palazzo Strozzi and Palazzo Vecchio. At the Stibbert Museum, the knights of Japanese anime come to life with curved swords and armour that have survived the centuries. At Palazzo Davanzati and Museo Horne, little ones can travel back in time to the Middle Ages and Renaissance as they walk through historic rooms. Another stop, the La Specola Museum of Zoology and Natural History. For a child, it’s quite eccentric, but that’s part of its charm. As for budding scientists, they have an appointment at the Museo Galileo. Then off to discover the sweetest gelato shop in Florence… perhaps by tasting all the flavours on display!
